Tools for General Practice
Doctors Control Panel
Doctors Control Panel (DCP) is a free tool, developed by Dr Anton Knieriemen, and is available for use with Medical Director 3 and Best Practice. The tool lets GPs know which of the RACGP Preventative Activities are due for the patient being seen, according to that patient’s specific age and history using the information available within the clinical database, replacing at least some of message box prompts. Although the DCP is available as a free download, Dr Knieriemen suggests that if you find it useful you may like to donate to the charity of your choice.

GP Census
The GP Census is a web based tool which automates the annual survey requirements of Divisions with GPs and Practices within their division. It also enables the Divisions Network to take a snapshot of GP workforce participation over a given week. The system was initially developed by General Practice Tasmania, and successfully used it across Tasmanian Divisions for 3 years. The figures show examples of material generated from the 2006 GP Census reports by GP Tasmania. AGPN updated the product for use by the Network, with appropriate access for Division, State and National users.
