On-Line Education – National Bowel Cancer Screening Program

The objectives of the bowel cancer screening program are for participants:

• To have improved awareness of the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program (NBCSP)
• To be aware of the role of GPs in the NBCSP in managing different patients presenting for the program
• To recall the effectiveness of FOBT and colonoscopy as screening techniques for bowel cancer
• To recount the GP duty of care issues as they relate to the NBCSP and RACGP standards
